Tire shops sell and install new tires, patch punctures, balance wheels and, at most locations, align the suspension. Prices are quoted per tire plus mounting, balancing, valve stems and a disposal fee for the old set; many shops price-match and include free rotation and flat repair for the life of the tire. Used tire shops sell inspected take-offs for a fraction of the price of new ones, useful for an older car or a single replacement. Wheel and rim shops repair bent or curb-scraped wheels, refinish them and sell aftermarket sets. Seasonal demand peaks before winter in the northern states and before summer road trips everywhere.

Getting around Amarillo is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

DO NOT USE - tl;dr - scammed $250. On the way out of Amarillo, we hit a piece of guardrail debris. We called Rite Price around 8pm, told it’d be about an hour for him to get to us. It took about 3, then he fixed our tire for about 2. Refused to be paid by credit card and only wants 3rd party cash transfer apps. I paid, and an hour later, the same tire popped again. I called, let him know, and he said he called back. He didn’t and I went straight to voicemail. I texted him, he asked for pics, and I sent them, and I requested a refund because I had to replace the tire with a donut, and drove to the nearest town. Haven’t heard anything since. Going off of reviews, this is all he does. Going by the texas comptroller, he also isn’t able to transact business in texas since his good standing is ended. Again, I appreciate what he did - but the service failed. I just want my money back because I paid for a service, and the service wasn’t met.

I can't even begin to explain how thankful we are to this business. We had just gotten a tire repaired after someone had slashed in so naturally while on the way to work another tire had a blowout (it was old and we were working on getting it replaced). This company was a godsend. Not only were they able to work with us on a price but they came out to where I was stranded and replaced the tire for me! I highly recommend this company when it comes to emergency tire work! Will definitely be keeping their number on hand. Thank you again!

I had a great experience with Rite Price Mobile Shop. Friendly, didn’t cut corners, there was a little delay on them showing up, but they were busy at the time, so I didn’t mind the wait. Would definitely use them again.
